WordPress isn’t just for blogs
Building or updating a website can be a difficult and daunting task. For years business owners had to choose between having a simple static HTML based website or paying for specialized programming to create dynamic powered websites using database technology. One of the biggest obstacles in the past was menus and navigation. As a web designer and developer, I can’t say how often we build a navigation system for customers, go live and come back in a few months, and want major changes to the navigation system. Depending on the structure of the site, this can be very expensive.
WordPress makes this easy again. Once you’ve designed your menu, you can simply go to the Menu tab and add, modify, and delete menus whenever you want. You can also go in and add new pages and menu items with just a few clicks.
Free. If you remember, chances are the plugin is already available. Adding galleries, shops, auctions, and other add-ons is very easy with WordPress.
Widgets are another fun area that WordPress is really good at. A gadget is a plugin that, when activated, is displayed in a predefined gadget area on your website. For example, one of the most common widget positions is in the sidebar or in the footer area. This can be a great place for social widgets where people can click their favorite Facebook button or follow your tweets. Or maybe you have a product you want to sell as a special offer and it appears on every shopping cart page with a buy or add button. There are thousands of widgets here and most of them are free.
Of course, no website is complete without a good design and layout. WordPress uses themes that allow you to change the look of your website at any time. In addition, there are already thousands of free topics on the Internet. In addition, there are many premium themes for sale, many of which include special features such as shopping carts and magazine layouts.
One of the best ways to drive traffic to a website is to use a blog. WordPress is the most used blog in the world today. Blogging on your WordPress site is very easy. You can easily add it to your site by simply adding a “blog” navigation link or launching it from your site.
